Charenton a noué au fil du temps des liens étroits avec des villes situées dans plusieurs pays étrangers. Des jumelages qui se traduisent par des échanges culturels, éducatifs et économiques ont ainsi été officiellement contractés. Des rencontres sont organisées régulièrement et contribuent à notre enrichissement mutuel.
L'Association du Comité de jumelage a été créée en 1984.
